Conclusion

When completed, the oral history interview students create will document historical information that has never been written down. In this way, the picture students have of an event or time in history becomes just a little bit clearer or can even lead students into new understanding about that time.

An oral history interview can be conducted with anyone. Only they can can tell the events of their time through their own perspective. It is a great technique to learn more about students' own family histories or other periods of history in which they are interested.
